151' Brigantine S/V KAISEI
Summer 2008
If you have dreamed of making a passage on a one-of-a kind brigantine rigged ship, the beautiful tall ship S/V KAISEI is everything you have imagined!
KAISEI will be voyaging throughout the summer season all along the coast of British Columbia, the Pacific Northwest, the California Coast and Mexico.
We have a limited number of spaces available for participants for each leg of our voyage. We invite you to join us for these incredible opportunities.
The following is a list of our scheduled voyages. Some of these voyages include participation in Tall Ship Parades and visiting Tall Ship Festivals onboard. Others include great opportunities for sail training and time at sea. The variety of voyages offers a range of different experiences.

| June 10 - 20 | Passage trip from San Francisco, CA to Victoria, British Columbia This trip, going up the coast of California, Washington and Oregon, is recommended for those interested in sea time on a passage. Dependant on weather conditions, we will make one or two stops along the route, and likely arrive in Victoria the day before you will disembark, allowing you some time in this beautiful port. As we will be going up the coast, this trip will involve more motoring. It will offer good opportunities to learn seamanship and coastal navigation. $1250.00 per person |

| June 21 - 27 | Passage from Victoria, British Columbia to Victoria, British Columbia The tall ship KAISEI will leave Victoria and voyage through the Gulf Islands to meet some of the other tall ships and experience some good sailing before returning to Victoria to anchor off the evening of June 25, and to participate in the Tall Ship Parade June 26, entering Victoria. This trip will offer good options for sailing and participating in a Tall Ship Parade. Throughout the voyage, participants will have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. Each person can be involved according to their ability. $1295.00 per person |

| June 28 - July 4 | Passage from Victoria, British Columbia to Tacoma, Washington Join S/V KAISEI and enjoy the last day of the Victoria Tall Ships festival before setting sail with the fleet on June 29 for Tacoma, Washington. This area is known for pristine blue waters and excellent sailing conditions, combined with beautiful islands and coastal landscapes. The vessel arrives in Tacoma by July 3, for her appearance in the Tacoma Tall Ships Festival. You will be onboard to take part in the Tacoma Tall Ships Parade of Sail on July 3. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for any tall ships fan! Participants will disembark on July 4. Throughout the voyage, participants have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. | July 7 - 11 | Passage from Tacoma, Washington to Port Alberni, British Columbia Join S/V KAISEI in Tacoma for the last day of the Tall Ships Festival. KAISEI leaves Tacoma with the fleet on July 6, sailing to Port Alberni, British Columbia. During this passage, we will be sailing with the fleet of Tall Ships. This passage is perfect for those wishing to experience the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest with a fleet of interesting ships. The vessel will dock in Port Alberti on July 10, to begin her appearance in the Port Alberni Tall Ships Festival, and participants will be onboard as the vessel is greeted by hundreds of Tall Ship fans from all over the world. Throughout the voyage, participants will have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. Each person can be involved according to their ability. You will disembark on mid-morning of July 11. $895.00 per person |

| July 12 - 24 | Passage from Port Alberni, British Columbia to San Francisco, California Join the S/V KAISEI and enjoy the Port Alberni Tall Ships Festival. The Festival will close with a spectacular Parade of Ships on July 13, and you'll be part of it! After the parade, we'll sail south to San Francisco, California on this passage. This longer stretch of sailing will allow participants to really develop their sea-legs and do some great sailing on this amazing vessel. This will be a great leg for sail-training on a Class A Tall Ship. The vessel arrives in San Francisco on July 22, for her appearance in the San Francisco Festival of Sail. Participants will remain onboard to take part in the San Francisco Tall Ships Society's opening day Parade of Ships on July 23, and you will disembark the following mid-morning, July 24. Throughout the voyage, participants will have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. | July 27 - Aug 8 | Passage from San Francisco, California to Channel Islands, CA The S/V KAISEI leaves the festival of Sail in San Francisco July 28. We may well spend a day exploring San Francisco Bay and then on the 29th sail towards the Channel Islands and our final destination, Channel Islands Harbour. This leg explores some of the most beautiful coastal areas of California. We will possibly stop in Monterey and anchor at some of the Channel Islands. The vessel arrives in Channel Island Harbour on August 6, for her appearance in the Channel Islands Tall Ships Festival, beginning August 7. Participants can remain onboard for the first day of the Tall Ships festival, then disembark mid-morning, August 8. Throughout the voyage, participants will have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. Each person can be involved according to their ability. $2400.00 per person |

| August 9 - 15 | Passage from Channel Islands, California to Los Angeles, CA Join the S/V KAISEI for the last day of the Channel Islands Tall Ship Festival, and then sail out to Catalina Island. Catalina is a wonderful anchorage and a fun place to explore. This passage is going from one excellent tall Ships Festival to another, with hopefully some warm water sailing in between. From Catalina, we will sail onward to San Pedro in Los Angeles for our participation in the Los Angeles Tall Ships festival. Participants on this leg will be there for the beginning of these festivities and disembark mid-morning August 15. Throughout the voyage, participants will have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. Each person can be involved according to their ability. $1295.00 per person |

| August 16 - 21 | Passage from San Pedro (Los Angeles), California to San Diego, CA Join the S/V KAISEI for the final day of the Los Angeles Tall Ship Festival and depart for a sail to beautiful Catalina Island. This should be a spectacular experience, with many ships sailing together to Catalina. Visiting Catalina is always a highlight, especially when you get to visit by ship! After enjoying catalina, the KAISEI will sail onward to San Diego. Participants on this leg will have the opportunity to take part in the Parade of Sail on August 20, and will disembark the following day, August 21, mid-morning. Throughout the voyage, participants will have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. | August 23 -26 | Passage from San Diego, California to Ensenada, Mexico Join the S/V KAISEI at the San Diego maritime Festival and enjoy the camaraderie between the ships. KAISEI will then sail out of San Diego and experience some great time sailing, ending up in Ensenada, Mexico. For those with limited time, but who wish to partake in a Tall Ship Festival and sailing a square rigged ship, this trip will offer the an excellent introduction to brigantine sailing! Throughout the voyage, participants will have the opportunity to be moderately to actively involved in the sailing of this 151' Brigantine. Each person can be involved according to their ability. $695.00 per person |

| September 3 - 9 | Passage from Ensenada, Mexico to Santa Barbara, CA This trip, coming up the coast from Ensenada Santa Barbara, is recommended for those interested in sea time on a passage. Dependant on weather conditions, we will may tack offshore o sail or come up the coast. This is a great way to spend a long Labor Day weekend under sail on a Brigantine. This 10 day passage will have an emphasis on sail training, seamanship and coastal navigation. We recommend this passage for the sailor who wishes to focus on taking their skills-set to the next level. $1295.00 per person |

Please note: KAISEI, being a Class A ship, is a valued participant at tall Ship Festivals. We are still waiting for final details on some of the festivals, so this schedule may be subject to slight change. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions. Reservations are confirmed with a deposit of $400 per person. Final payment is due prior to 30 days before departure. In case of cancellation, monies are only refundable if you or we are able to refill your berth. We recommend trip cancellation insurance.
